JoAnn G. Lewis Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn G. Lewis in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Odis Gibson and Annie Mae Cockerham Gibson; her son Jeffrey Scott Lewis; her granddaughter Amy Katherine Lewis; and her siblings, Odelle Auttonberry, Alma Gibson, Hilda Gibson and James W. Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Janice L. Lamy (Edward) and Jay A. Lewis (Teri); her grandchildren, Andy Lewis (Aimee), Amanda Lewis, Blaire L. Reed (Ethan) and Preston Lamy (Chloe); and her great grandchildren, Tristan Lewis, Charlotte Lewis, Wesley Lamy and Hayes Lamy.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1301 Oliver Rd, Monroe, LA 71201).
In lieu of flowers, and for those so desiring, memorials in honor of JoAnn G. Lewis may be made to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe, Louisiana.
