He is survived by: his daughter Laurie Elizabeth (Todd); his wife Laurie Will Engelke (Canal Zone); his children, John Engelke and Joy Humphrey (Aaron); his siblings, Judy Montanaro, Bill (Shirley) and Louis Engelke (Wilma); his grandchildren, Kaylyn Sweeney (Jylan Hayes), Devon Sweeney (Kylie Wilson), Arynne and Addlyn Humphrey; his great grandchildren, Laykyn, Korbyn Sweeney, Isais, Mecca Hayes, Corely and Otto Moorer; his extended family, Jordan and Cherish Moorer; and his caregivers, Camille, Shana Cate and Nicole.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church (6166 S Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
