She was predeceased by: her parents, James R White and Annie T. White; her husband Major L. Harris; and her sister Bessie W. Baker. She is survived by: her daughter Toya Harris; her granddaughter Talia Washington; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Lathen, Peggy Wicker and Thomas Harris III. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Julia will not only be remembered for her contributions to education, her community and her church but for her love of literature, music and the arts.
