He was predeceased by: his parents, Kellon Durell Cothern of Jayess and Vivian Porter Cothern of Yazoo City, Mississippi.. He is survived by: his wife Shae Walk Cothern; his children, Heather Cothern Musial (Rob), Chase Cothern (Amanda) and Kalynn Cothern; his grandchildren, Gavin, Colton and Nora; and his brothers, Ronnie Cothern (Kelli) and Keith Cothern (Brenda).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zoar Baptist Church (11848 Hooper Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70818). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
