It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavene Tessier of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, who passed away on April 24, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband David Tessier; her granddaughter Carrie Virginia "Ginny" Ferguson; and her brother Conval Manning. She is survived by : her son Rick Ferguson; her granddaughter Angela Miller; her great grandchildren, Christopher Johnson and Lucas Miller; and her siblings, Normalyn Myers and Pete Manning.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Seale Funeral Home (1720 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at the Evergreen Memorial Park.
