She was predeceased by: her parents, America Ann Simmons Wiles and William Chester Wiles; her former husband Alfred Phillips; and her son Michael Phillips. She is survived by: her significant other Huey Ellis; her children, Pam Peters of Baton Rouge, Jackie Duncan (Tommy) of Cypress and Christopher Moffett of Stephenville, Texas; and her sister Joan Correro of West Monroe. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
