She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Brown Carpenter and Ernest Lee Carpenter of Denham Springs; her husband Gerald "Jerry" Thompson; and her brother Carroll Carpenter. She is survived by: her daughters, Laynette Hatchell Spring (Donald), Julie Hatchell Jumper (Daryl), Jayne Thompson DeJean, Marie Thompson Pierce (Mert) and Elizabeth Thompson Lemoine (Hansel); and her grandchildren, Cathleen Bordelon Siersema (Tim), Curt Bordelon, Jason Spring (Jamie), Tommy Spring (Meg), Jeremy Lemoine (Joanna), Cory Lemoine (Jenna) and Sharla Pierce. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Rabenhorst Funeral Home (11000 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (11441 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815).
