With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lou Anne Harris Smitherman of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lou Kimble Harris and Arthur James Harris; her brother John Stephen Harris; her son Justin Allen Smitherman; and her niece Maisy Rae Belgard.
She is survived by: her son Jesse Wade Smitherman; her grandson Ransom Wade Smitherman; her siblings, Susan Harris Belgard (Johnny) and Patrick James Harris (Amelia); and her siblings' children, Josh Belgard (Leigh), Sarah Ramsey White, Brad Harris, Casey Belgard (Melissa), Scott Belgard (Melanie), Charlotte Harris-Briggs (Rob) and Oliver Harris.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Seale Funeral Home (1720 S Range Ave, Denham Springs, LA 70726). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
