He was predeceased by: his father Ford Boone; his son Dickey Johnson; and his grandparents, Clifton, Mamie Lang, Claude and Gertrude Boone.

He is survived by: his wife Shaaron Boone; his daughter Renee; his son-in-law Barry Anselmo; his son Chad Johnson; his parents-in-law, Barbara and Bill Jones; his siblings, Rebekah (Ernie Arnold), Eydie (Elliott Bergeron), Dwayne (Mona Jones) and Dennis (Dawn Jones); and his grandchildren, Justin Anselmo (Marion), Joseph Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Hannah Heine (Will). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
