It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mona Laird Rafeedie of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who passed away on December 15, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Frank Guidroz, Jr.; her son James Carroll Laird III; and her brother-in-law David Miller. She is survived by: her mother Mary Jane; her husband Peter Rafeedie; her children, Jena Laird and Logan Laird; her stepchildren, Patrick Rafeedie and Alexis Rafeedie; her grandchildren, Jayla, James, Michael, Addison and Aiden; her sisters, Sonia Hearn (Brooks), Brenda Bates (Jeff) and Linda Miller; her mother-in-law Nancy Rafeedie; her sisters-in-law, Christina Melancon (Billy), Marianne Rafeedie and Janelle Rafeedie; Mary Jane Guidroz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
