With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Norma R. Mitchell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Norma left this world on November 30, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry P. Rodriguez and Bessie Brassett Rodriguez; her daughter Cindy Baughman; her son-in-law Bill Ainsworth; her mother-in-law Janie Frizell; her husband Harry Mitchell; and her close friend Bud Broussard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Weisse (Lambert), Jeannie Ainsworth (Al), Donna Ainsworth (Johnny Wayne) and Wendy Hebert (Dwayne); her son-in-law David Baughman; her sister Jeanette Breaux (Booster); her sister-in-law Dot Bordelon; her godchild Tracy Breaux; her grandchildren, Lambert, Tiffany, Tricia, Melissa, Troy, William, Crystal, Lil Johnny, Courtney and Blake; her great grandchildren, Emma, Lambert III, Brady, Brees, Adelynn, Alyse, Alexis, Braylen, Kambrie, Shea, Kylie, Mallory and Cade; her stepgrandsons, Dustin and Adam; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Bentley, Kristie, Skyler, Zane and Zaiden.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (11441 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Greenoaks Memorial Park (9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815).
