She was predeceased by: her husbands, Jordan C. Barling and John Robert Polk; her parents, Earl Kern and Myrtle Dees Kern; and her siblings, James Kern and Opal Simoneaux.

She is survived by: her sons, Tracy Barling (Linda) and Jordan Barling; her grandchildren, Charly Capes, Joseph Barling, Travis Barling Sr., Samantha Reid and Zachary Barling (Emoraia Fraim); her great grandchildren, Andrew Heflin, Taylor Capes, Chance Capes, Everliegh Barling, Travis Barling Jr., Amelia Barling and Addison Barling; and her sisters, Annette Gamble, Carol Kern, Sandy McCormick and Janice Paternostro. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
