He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip A. Eckert and Elizabeth Bruce Eckert; his former wife Gay Nell Burnett Eckert; his brother Ronnie A. Eckert; and his sister-in-law Nora Lee Eckert.
He is survived by: his wife Ursula Prados Richard Eckert; his children, Bruce Eckert (Darlene), Betty Willis (Chris), Bonnie Perrin (Joe) and Brigitte Kron (Edgar); and his stepchildren, Ragan Richard (Virginia), Ursula Laville (Thomas), Stephanie Robert and Jeanne Daniel. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic High School.
