He was predeceased by: his mother Luzuiminda Balabot Ray; his brother Michael Petty; and his father Gene Franklin Petty. He is survived by: his daughter Gabrielle Petty Hickman; his stepfather Kenneth W. Ray; his brother Dewayne E. Ray (Carolyn Ray); and his grandson Silas Hickman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
