Samuel left this world on September 23, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Houston Harris, Sr. and Emily Katherine Manville Harris; and his brother Terence Manville Harris. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Harris Welch, Mahlon Robert Harris and Tracey Ann Harris; his grandchildren, Rachael Welch Tibbetts (Matt) of Denham Springs and Brian Houston "Doc" Welch of Baton Rouge; his great grandchildren, Madison Leigh Tibbetts, Hays Anthony Tibbetts, Noah Houston Tibbetts and Anna-Katherine Tibbetts; and his pets, Missy and Jack Welch.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (3552 Morning Glory Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70808). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church Endowment Fund in memory of Sam, at the Morning Glory address.
