With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel K Hollis Sr. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in Haughton, Louisiana, who passed away on February 10, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalton Hollis and Eva Hollis; his siblings, Billie Ruth Reynolds Taylor, J. W. Hollis, Bobbie Hollis, David Hollis and Jerry Hollis; his great-nephew Matt Hollis; his parents-in-law, Wilma and Tommy Clark; and his siblings-in-law, Toni Bullock, Freda Hinze and James Bullock.
He is survived by: his nephew Pete (Glenda); his wife Cathy Hollis; his children, Jennifer Ortis (Chris) of Katy, TX, Samuel "Sam" Hollis, Jr. (Christy) of Prairieville, LA and Tommy Hollis (Amy) of Bossier City, LA; his grandchildren, Hunter Hollis (Angel), Jullian Hollis (Breanna), Emily Hollis, Sydney Hollis, Nicholas Hollis and Keegan Ortis; his great grandchildren, Lyric Grace Hollis and Kamryn Blake Hollis; his brother Ricky Hollis (Pat); his siblings-in-law, Marcille Hollis, Jimmy Clark (Charlotte), Ronny Clark (Cheryl) and Kenny Clark (Sabrina); and his nephews, Mike Hollis and Tracy Bullock.
