She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Hunter Wendler and Harold William "Doc" Wendler; and her brother Harold William "Windy" Wendler. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Louise, Henry, James Ory, Carly, Sarah, Rachel Cappiello, Scott, Nicole Wilder, Claire, Brennan and Madeline Carrique; her friend Jeanne Yerger Schmidt; John McKay Wilder, Michael Henry Ory (Alyce), Wendy Elaine Ory Cappiello (John), Willa Wendler Roof (Marvin), Lawson Cook Wilder (Leland) and Carrie Sue Wilder Carrique (Javier).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (930 North Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
