He is survived by: his granddaughter Chandler Grace Wheeler; his children, Jared Michael Wheeler and Logan Wheeler Ramirez; his son-in-law Jeremy Robert Ramirez; and his siblings, Walter James "Jim" Wheeler and Janice "Jan" W Broussard.
