We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2025, at the age of 70, Bruce Merrick (Belle Chasse, Louisiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Merrick Jr. and Audrey Taylor; and his brothers, John "Magoo" Merrick (Sharmaine) and Andrew "Black" Merrick (Denise). He is survived by: his children, Bruce Evan Neal (Irelle Scott), Brooke Sentrell Brown and Courtney Mallard; his grandchildren, Se'maj Neal, Bruce Evan Neal Jr., Bryan Barakat and Aiden Barakat; his siblings, Merlisha, Karry Sr. (Deborah), Iris "Rachel", Jimmy Merrick, Melinda Franklin (Harland Sr.) and Peggy Garrett; and his godchild Narshain Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Robinson Family Funeral Home (9611 LA-23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
