With sadness, we share the passing of Lela Mae Murray Raker Mason of Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Lela, born on June 19, 1935 in Gilbert, Louisiana, passed away on October 7, 2026. She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace "Wally" Mason; and her daughter Melinda Carol George. She is survived by: her children, James Allen George (Anne), Odney "Dale" Provance, Jr. (Patty) and Joy Leona Provance (Sean); her grandchildren, Everett George, Preston Monahan (Sarah), Melissa George, Dale Provance III, Dustin "Dusty" Luginbuhl, Jenna George, Amanda Gomez (Davin), Nathan Provance, Austin Provance, Rowan Lester, Sean Coughlin II, Natalie Provance and David "Trey" Lester; her close friends, Anthony and Joy Rushby of Grimsby, England.; her nephew Alvin "Joey" Wells; and her aunt Mae. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, honorary grandchildren, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home (5101 Westbank Expy, Marrero, LA 70072). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
