He is survived by: his wife Lillie Touchet Esponge; his children, Kathleen Esponge Daniel (Thomas), Nanette Esponge Callais and Perry Esponge; his grandchildren, Brooke Sonnier Millien, Trey Esponge, Reagan Esponge and Teri Ann Daniel; his great grandchildren, Paxton, Lola, Holden and Finn; and his sisters, Doris Wimberley (Floyd) and Lena Stockstill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St Jude Children's Hospital or any cancer research foundation.
