For Aleda Ann is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Demetres Barnes; and her parents, Rogers Joseph and Doris Joseph. She is survived by: her close friend Michael Simon; her children, Reginald Barnes, Sr. (Shelita), Jonathan Barnes and Juanita Williams (Demarcus); and her sisters, Agnellia Joseph and Caroline Richard. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Israel Baptist Church (7104 LA-308, Belle Rose, LA 70341).
