He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Sherrick and Ruth Emma Naus (Smith); his son-in-law John "Brad" Woods; his brother Paul Sherrick; and his grandson Benjamin Harmon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Woods of Bellefontaine, Joni Fulton (Matt) of Delaware, OH, Cindi Harmon (Denny) of Elida, Jenni Barnhart (Jay) of Mt. Vernon and Rachel Reibeling (Addison) of Benton, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Angie Ramsdail (Jason), Brittany Farley (Steve), Kristin Ferguson, Nicholas Coon (Heather), Bradley Coon (Kathryn), Zach Harmon, Kyle Harmon (Shannon), Gabe Harmon, Brooke Barnhart, Drew Barnhart, Audrey Reibeling and Aspen Reibeling; and his sister Carol Niebel (Ron) of Ft. Wayne, IN.. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren.
