She is survived by: her husband Charles Ates; her children, Tommy Ates (Robin), Connie Urrey (Wayne) and Angelia Harty (Robert); her grandchildren, Christopher Ates (Hannah), Madison Benson (Beaux), Ethan Ates, Amber Wyatt (Claude), K. D. Urrey, Wesley Harty and Anna Marie Harty; her great grandchildren, Isaac Ates, Sawyer Urrey and Adaline Ates; her siblings, Eddie Hogue (Karen) and Frances Sales (Alan); and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Mercer (Tommy), Darlene Smith (Mike), Charlene Evans (Billy Joe), Alice Ates, Ann Ates, Roy Ates (Gail), Wayne Ates (Leisa) and Dennis Akin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (502 US-167, Bernice, LA 71222). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
