He was predeceased by: his brother Jerry Simpson; and his daughter Juli Barmore. He is survived by: his wife Carol Anne Simpson; his son Joe Simpson (Lisa); his son-in-law Bo Barmore; his granddaughter Audri McCready (Tim); his great grandchildren, Morgan Farrar (Beau), Molli McCready, Madison McCready and Mallory McCready; his sister Earline Evans (Mike); and also Ira. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bernice Methodist Church (202 8th St, Bernice, LA 71222). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the Bernice City Cemetery.
