She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Edward Elliott; her parents, J. O. Bankhead and Lillie McMillan; her great grandchild Nathan Snyder; and her siblings, Shirley Clarkston, Carolyn Nichols, Gerald Bankhead, Willie Sims, Wesley Sims and Wendell Sims.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Snyder (Richard); her close friend Marvin Prestridge; her grandchildren, Richard Lee Snyder (Leigh), Stephen Snyder and Jennifer Odom (David); and her sister Sharon Sims. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
