Iris Gillis Berry Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris Gillis Berry of Berwick, Louisiana, born in Mendenhall, Mississippi, who passed away on May 1, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her former life partner Everett S. Berry; her parents, Charles Warner Gillis, Sr. and Zona Lee May Gillis; her brother Charles Warner Gillis, Jr.; her son-in-law Kurt LaCoste; her father-in-law Buford Everett Berry; her siblings-in-law, Doyle Galloway Berry (Dawn Claire Wilson) and Johannah Wamble Berry (Everett S.); her friend Nita Ivey; and also, Alleyne Coker Berry and Kathryn Stormont Berry.

She is survived by : her husband Stanley A. Dearhamer of Berwick; her children, Belinda Kay Berry LaCoste of Carrollton, Texas, Ronald Everett Berry (Mary Margaret Russo) and Joe'al Stormont Berry (Barbara Bell Berry) of Patterson, Louisiana.; her grandchildren, Luke Everett LaCoste, James McKinley LaCoste of Carrollton, Texas, Jody Paul LaCoste (Erin Kelly LaCoste) of Montgomery, Texas, Chad Joseph LeBoeuf (Sandra Mendes LeBoeuf) of DeRidder, Louisiana, Joshua Charles King (Brooke Beeson King) of Humble, Texas, Brooke Anne Berry of Houma, Louisiana, Joseph Everett Berry and Ava Jane Berry of Patterson, Louisiana; and her brother-in-law Dr. Buford Eugene Berry of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
