She was predeceased by: her fathers, Lloyd Smittle and Tom Smittle; her brother Burrell Smittle; and her great grandchildren, Brantley Jean Wigington and Austin Rose Wigington.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Terral Whetstone; her children, Jada Bettis (James), Wendell Whetstone (Kim) and Hoyt Whetstone (Sonya); her grandchild Katilyn Woodley (Adam); her children, Kelsey Wigington (Jacob), Luke Whetstone (Sara), Kara Reeh (Nick), Jordan Whetstone and Caleb Wilcox (Bekah); her great grandchildren, Judson Woodley, Layne, Charlie, Laurel Wigington, Harper, Harrison, Caroline Whetstone, Elizabeth and Samantha Reeh; her brothers, Doyle Smittle (Dorothy) and Robert Smittle (Rita); and her sister-in-law Bette Whetstone.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (201 Attaway St, Shreveport, LA 71107). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Shreveport, LA 71101).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NWLA BAPTIST Association Camp Bethany for a Maintenance Facility.
