She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Brown and Isabel Conerly Brown; her great grandchild Kristyona Fountain; her grandmother Isabel Brown; her close friend Elvin Nelson Moses; her husband Arnold Lee Forbes Sr.; her children, Ora Lee Forbes Gatlin (Honey Bee), Jimmy Lee Forbes (Thigh), Charles Anthony Forbes and Arnold Lee Forbes Jr. (Molly); her siblings, Cleveland, Clinton (Blue Plate), Jimmy Brown, Ora Dee Brown and Irene Peters; her parents-in-law, Oliver and Martha Forbes; her children-in-law, Glenda Watson, Larry Gatlin, Daniel Gibson, Milton Bell and Donald Varnado; her grandchildren, Jasmine Foster, Charles Forbes (Hubba), Arnold V. Forbes III and Kristyona Fountain; her sons-in-law, Brandon P. Forbes and Tajdryn Forbes; and her close friends, Audrey Sartin, Judy McDowell, Henrietta Hammond, Helen Page, Dorothy Nell Lewis, Thelma Robinson, Minnie Taylor, Roberta Sibley, Joyce Hughes, Jessie Thomas and Hatti Mae Thomas.
She is survived by: her grandson Quincy Forbes; her uncle Paurine; her aunt Molly (Patience); her children, Patricia Gibson, Sandra Cooley (Vernon), Pamela Forbes, Carol Varnado, Lenelva Tyner (Byron), Martha Forbes of Bogalusa, Shawanda Mingo of Houston, John Wesley Forbes of Bogalusa, Oliver Forbes (Cynthia) of Pearland, Texas and Jeffrey Forbes (Melinda) of Bogalusa, Louisiana; her daughters-in-law, Sandra Forbes of Bogalusa Louisiana and Shirley Forbes of Houston, Texas; her sister Corrine Watson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her nieces, Sandra Scott of Milwaukee and Felicia; and her children, Donald Lewis (Patricia) and Caprice Dyson. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (837 E 7th St, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
