He is survived by: his wife Ora Murphy; his son Julian C. Murphy I; his stepson Douglas Allen (Tammy); and his brother Willie Murphy, Jr. (Bennie). He is also survived by niece that he raised as his own, Valerine Conerly; a host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
