She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilhelm Speer and Gerda Speer; and her siblings, Gerd Speer and Waldtradt "Trudy" Fontenot Brekeen. She is survived by: her son Robert Wheat (Lynn); her grandchildren, Mason, Miranda, Celena, Bryson and Peyton Wheat; and her siblings, Hilde Bush (Wayne), Ulrich Speer (Amy), Bernie Speer (Lore) and Werner Speer (Barbara). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
