It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Rayburn of Bogalusa, Louisiana, who passed away on July 24, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Timothy Harris; his parents, John Rayburn and Hazel Rayburn; and his sister Joy Byrom. He is survived by: his wife Sara Bartels Rayburn; his sons, David Rayburn, II (Danyelle) and John Aaron "Johnny" Rayburn (Andrea); his grandchildren, Marri-Ellen Rayburn, Anne-Elyse Rayburn, Nathan Rayburn, Sophia Rayburn, Timothy Rayburn, Joshua Harris (Krista) and Jesse Leatrice; and his great grandchildren, Lila, Jacob and Benjamin "Ben".
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Et Brown-McGehee Funeral Home (610 Ave F, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
