She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Dykes and Ada Dykes (Stafford); her husband Walter Smith, Sr.; her children, Charlotte Jarrell Branch, Regina Jarrell Singleton and Bryon D. Jarrell; her great grandchild Grason Chandler Bailey; and her siblings, James, Huey, Earl, William Dykes, Doretha Elane, Elizabeth Signet and Ardell O'Brien.
She is survived by: her son Jeffery "Tippy" Jarrell; her grandchildren, Megan Branch Bailey, Crystal Singleton Jackson, Darryl Singleton, Adam Chase Branch, Chasity Branch, Logan Jarrell and Tyler Jarrell; and her great grandchildren, Caroline Branch, Ashlyn Vining, Reagan Vining, Laken Vining, Colin Vining, Lillian Vining, Eden Vining, Bentley Singleton, Bryson Quinn, Glador Singleton, Blake Jenkins, Ava Jenkins, Joey Jenkins, Jr., Legion Jackson, Astra Jackson, Tallen Jarrell and Adailynn Jarrell. She is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Brown-McGehee Funeral Home (610 Ave F, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at the Old Gerald Cemetery.
