She was predeceased by: her adoptive parents, R. J. Lewis and Willie Bell Lewis; her parents, Geneva Taylor and Albert Morris; her siblings, Joseph Dyson, Jr., Merlin Dyson, Louis "Dusty" Taylor, Vernie Brumfield, Guy Harry Brumfield, Mary Jane Magee and Antronetta Brumfield Warren; and her sister-in-law Lerlyn Taylor.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Sheridan; her siblings, Shelton Brumfield of Bogalusa, LA, Larry Armstrong (Verna) of Jackson, MS and Virginia Gail; her siblings-in-law, Ethel Williams of Sterlington, LA, Margie Porter Dyson of Kentwood, LA, James Sheridan of Westwego, LA, Alexander Sheridan (Linda Sue) of Angie, LA and Dewitt (Tammy); her goddaughter Nicole Bell of Bogalusa, LA; and her close friends, Dinnah Ruffin of New Orleans, LA, Patricia Henry of Bogalusa, LA, Mary Brumfield of Bogalusa, LA and Charlene Arnold of Picayune, MS..
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Second Missionary Baptist Church (1412 North Ave, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
