He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Simmons and Sable Richard; his brother Geradel Richard; and his nephews, Todd Dillon and Brandon Magee.
He is survived by: his wife Jerry Richard; his children, Charlie Butler, Jr. (Jacquelyn), Todd Mark, Sr., Melvin Mark, Sr., Sabrina Robertson (Bruce) and Nikita Mark; his grandchildren, Key'Arria Mark, Destiny Mark, Justin Mark, Ky'Onna Mark, Lavonte Bates, Melvin Mark, Jr., Myrion Mark, Toddasia Mark, Janiya Magee, Monet Mark, Charly Butler, Luther Butler, Cordarius Gatlin, Jasmine Lenoir, Martavious Lenoir, Donnel Butler and Tremaine Brown; and his siblings, Steven Simmons, Felicia Simmons Malter, Kathy Dillon, Dinah Milligan (Edward), Broderick Dillon (Tracey), Stephanie Smith Dillon, Stephon Dillon (Shereeta) and Renard Dillon. He is also survived by twenty-two great- grandchildren.
