He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Ivin Burney and Bobbie Marie McCullough Burney; his sister Charlotte Brock; his grandson Steven Burney; and his great grandchild Cristian Navarro.
He is survived by: his wife Velda Maxine; his sons, Greg Lewis Burney (Therese) and Damon Ray Burney (Karen); his grandchildren, Dr. Allison Burney Hamner (Jake), Dr. Krista Burney Mills (Ryan), Maureen Navarro (Eddy) and Cory Morton; and his great grandchildren, Cayden Burney and William Navarro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
