He was predeceased by: his mother Edna Boswell. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Lynn Boswell and Jackie Leigh Patterson (Greg Patterson); his grandchildren, J. Brandon Booker (Halie), Noah M. Scogin and Sydni Leigh Patterson; his great grandchildren, Annilyn G. Booker, Elijah M. Booker and Samuel T. Booker; his siblings, Barbara Boswell Cox, Linda Lee, Mike Boswell, Paul Boswell, Doug Boswell and Ruth Boswell Jones; and his half-brothers, Jerry Boswell, Jack Boswell of Eldon Boswell, J. D and Jean Boswell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Burl's honor.
