He was predeceased by: his friend Maverine Autry; his mother Virginia Moreau; his sister Gertrude Owens Ellers; his niece Janice Midkiff Haynie; and his great-nephew Dwayne Autry.
He is survived by: his sister Mable Owens Midkiff; his daughter Angelique Smith; his nieces, Sharon McGee (Jim), Teresa Disiere (David), Kay Murphy (Pat) and Julie Walsh (Doug); his nephew Chuck Ellers (Michelle); and his extended family, Janice Denmon (Robert), Franklin Autry (Jewel) and Martha Madole (Richard).
