We announce the death of Kay Fant Alexander (Bossier City, Louisiana), born in Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 81. Kay will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gracie Ruth Nicolas Fant and Leland Fant; her husband Tommy Sr. Alexander; and her sisters, Shelby Jean Slaven and Joan Schaply.

She is survived by: her children, Toyia Herman (John Herman) and Tommy Alexander (Shellie Alexander); her grandson Adam Verhalen (Natalie Verhalen); her great grandchildren, Gavin and Collins; her grandchildren, Travis Verhalen, Chelsea and Luke Verhalen (Lindsay Verhalen); her great grandchildren, Sara Grace, Allie and David Luke; her grandchildren, John Herman II and Chase Humphreys; and her great grandchild Wrenley Kate Humphreys.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
