It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVerne Rushing of Bossier City, Louisiana, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid adieu to LaVerne's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration LaVerne has bequeathed us. She was predeceased by: her mother Vineta Barnett (Worthington); and her son-in-law George Grey, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Ray Rushing of Bossier City, LA; her children, Mitzi Grey of Oak Grove, LA and Clint Rushing of Shreveport, LA; her grandchildren, Jessica Cobb (Bryan) of Oak Grove, LA, Madison Rushing of Mansfield, LA, Connor Grey of Oak Grove, LA and Blake Rushing of Shreveport, LA; her sister Anna Barnett Jones (Steve) of Florida; and her niece Jessica Watson (Rodney) of Alaska.
