He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Lutkemeier Sweasy; his parents, Kelly Sr. and Celesta; and his siblings, Kelly Jr., Forrest, Mary, Elizabeth, Billy, Davis and Carroll.

He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Jackson (Gene) and Diane DunkiJacobsNolten (Peter); his grandsons, Kevin DunkiJacobsNolten (Christina), Jonathan Jackson (Andrea) and Taylor Jackson (Mariah); his great grandchildren, Victor, Luke, Abigail and Eleanor; and his close friend Mona Newton.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made in the form of donations to Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
