With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alex Joseph St. Amant Jr. of Bourg, Louisiana, born in Montegut, Louisiana, who passed away on July 14, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ledet St. Amant; his parents, Alex St. Amant Sr. and Cecile DeRoche St. Amant; his in-laws, Curtis J. Ledet Sr. and Eve Ledet; his son-in-law Jeff Garner; and his brothers, Allen St. Amant and Robert St. Amant.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angel Luke (Tommy), Aimee Detiveaux (Mike) and Annette St. Amant (Brad Dupre); his sister Desiree'St. Amant (Daisy); his grandchildren, Bobby, Alexis (Colby), Alex and Reece; his stepgrandchildren, Lynsey, Erin, Dylon and Brett; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cohen, Ryder, Luke, Nolan, Lily and Layla.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Samart Funeral Home of Houma (635 Bayou Blue Rd, Houma, LA 70364). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
