He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Diggs and Lena Boyd Diggs; his former wife Mildred Diggs; his sons, David Diggs, Jr. and Ronald Diggs; his siblings, Willie Jr., John Sr., Leonard, Leo, Andrew, Georgiana D. Williams, Leola Diggs and Rosalee Diggs; and his mother-in-law Naomi Coleman.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Diggs; his daughter-in-law Rev. Marilyn Diggs; and his son Eddie Cureaux (Mary Evans). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, eleven great‑grandchildren, and four great‑great‑grandchildren, also his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
