He was predeceased by : his wife Betty Baker LaViolette; his parents, Augustave LaViolette and Marie Champagne LaViolette; his daughter Gwenn LaViolette; and his brother Fred LaViolette.
He is survived by : his children, Kirk Laviolette (Andrea), Chad Laviolette (Sandy), Mark Laviolette, Joshua Laviolette (Amy) and Suzanne LaViolette; his son-in-law Reid Bates; and his grandchildren, Jordan LaViolette, Morgan LaViolette, Alec LaViolette, Ariel Thibodeaux, Augustus Bates, Emma Bates, Annalise Bates, Jacob LaViolette, Kennedy LaViolette, Caedmon LaViolette, Lucie LaViolette, Peter LaViolette, Adrian LaViolette and Noah LaViolette.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 6:30 PM to 6:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
