He is survived by: his wife Sandra Castex LaHaye; his children, Jennifer Kurts (James) and James W. LaHaye, Jr.; his grandchildren, Michelle Clark (Josh), Andrew Kurts (Kelsey), Conrad Kurts (Bree) and John Kurts (Victoria); and his great grandchildren, Ruby, James, Stephanie, Mariska, Elsie, Oliver and Julien.
