He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou Alex; his parents, Arthur Alex and Octavia Derouselle Alex; his siblings, Harry Alex, Anthony Alex, Harold Alex, Beula Cormier, Eva Enard, Hilda Broussard, Evelyn Goodie and Paula Chevalier; and his grandchildren, Patrice Celestine, Katrice Celestine and Quinton Goodie.
He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Alex (Luke Aubrey, Jr.), Paul Declouet, John Steven Alex (Angela), Pierre "Shon" Alex (Yvonne), Mandy Celestine (Lawrence) and Sarah Goodie. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
