He was predeceased by: his wife Zula Mae Noel Melancon; his son Johnny Blaine Melancon; and his parents, Dewey Melancon and Lota Blanchard Melancon. He is survived by: his close friend Judy Freeman; his children, Terry Melancon, Graig Melancon and Cynthia LaGrange (Ricky); his siblings, Lloyd Melancon (Jane) and Vivian Melancon Robin; and his grandchildren, Faythe Hebert, Brooke Carriere, Leslie Powell and Raynee Montet. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; and his grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery (1454 Henderson Hwy, Henderson, LA 70517).
