Shirley C. Ryder Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 1, 2025, Shirley C. Ryder of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Ryder; her son Kevin Jude LaPorte; her sons-in-law, Wade Kilgo and Michael Fitzgerald; the father of her children Abel LaPorte; her parents, Clayus Courville and Leednee Thibodeaux Courville; and her siblings, Shelby Courville, Thelma Melancon, Florence Gibson, Ames Courville and Joseph Courville.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon LaPorte (Rod) and Beverly Kilgo; her daughter-in-law Tracie LaPorte; her grandchildren, Brandi Patin (Bo) and Ashley Stelly (Matt); her stepgrandchild Jaide Leger (Jules); her great grandchildren, Cane, Austyn Stelly, Arlei and Mason Patin; and her brother Norris Courville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Cecilia (2250 Cecilia Sr High School Highway, Cecilia, LA 70517, USA 70521). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (2250 Cecilia Sr H South Hwy, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
