He was predeceased by: his former wife Alzina JeanBatiste; his parents, Antoine JeanBatiste and Elise Lee JeanBatiste; his daughter Rebecca JeanBatiste; his sisters, Helen Murphy and Shirley Curlee; and his granddaughter Monica R. Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Glenda K. JeanBatiste Walker, Marvin JeanBatiste (Sandra), Jakeithia Prejean and Devin JeanBatiste; his grandchildren, Jamie Mitchell, Eric Mitchell, Derrick Mitchell, Lamar JeanBatiste, Lavaughn JeanBatiste and Keyana JeanBatiste; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Paul Mitchell, Eric C. Mitchell and Brayden Mitchell.
