He was predeceased by : his parents, Servin Schexnayder and Wilda Pomier; and his brothers, Servin Schexnayder, Jr. and Charlie Schexnayder. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Moreau Schexnayder of Broussard; his children, Delton Lee Schexnayder, Jr. of Youngsville, Dwayne Lee Schexnayder (Lacie) of Youngsville and Danielle Lynn Schexnayder Fava (Lucas) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Kristin Viator (Ben), Savannah Schexnayder, Rebeccah Faye Schexnayder and Jimi Claire Schexnayder; his great grandchild Lillian Viator; his stepchild Tisa Maturin (Mark); and his siblings, Roger Schexnayder of Lafayette and Mary Jane Schexnayder of Lafayette. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
